Writing & Speaking
I have written, testified, and spoken in settings ranging from congressional hearings to hospital and community conversations. This is a selected record.
Congressional testimony
Bialick, J. (2013, March 20). Testimony before the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee, Subcommittee on Health [Written testimony]. U.S. House of Representatives. (Read the statement)
Bialick, J. (2013, November 19). Testimony before the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee, Subcommittee on Health [Written testimony]. U.S. House of Representatives. (Read the statement)
The first statement drew on the Newborn Coalition’s CCHD screening work to make the case for a risk-based framework for mobile health technology. The second addressed health IT and patient safety. Both are a useful record of how I approach emerging tools: start with what they do, how they are used, and what patients and families need.
