Community

I grew up in San Diego, spent about fifteen years in Washington, DC, and now live in Washington state—Washington to Washington. My family and I are raising two daughters who remind me what it means to be civically minded and compassionate.

Pine Lake Potential

I started Pine Lake Potential to offer one-to-one, community-based K–12 tutoring on Seattle’s Eastside. I saw a gap I could help fill with the tools I had: my education, experience, and patience. The work is about helping each student understand the material, find their own voice, and build confidence.

Board service

I serve on the Sammamish YMCA Community Board, supporting community engagement through sport and the Y’s water-safety mission. I am vice chair of Let’s Play Pickleball, working to widen access to play and community. I also serve on the board of Wave Crest Innovations, which promotes citizen science.

Education

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Boston University and a Master of Arts in government from Johns Hopkins University. I have learned just as much from the families, clinicians, students, and community leaders I have worked alongside.
